Joerg Eckardt, founder of JE-C GmbH, gained substantial professional experience over 25 years in companies active in design and construction of Waste to Energy (WtE) and conventional power plants.

Postgraduate my carrier starts as design engineer in Baumgarte, who mainly built WtE plants throughout Europe. Becoming later commissioning Engineer for commissioning of solid fuel (waste) fired boilers (AVA Augsburg, MVA Ulm) and heating power stations (Frankfurt, Dresden, Potsdam, Suhl). First engagement with Baumgarte ends as project execution manager for the refurbishment boiler unit 1 of the AVA Wuppertal WtE plant.

Thereafter I was Sales Manager for ALSTOM, within the Utility Section for coal fired boiler units for Asia countries. First sales success was a 200 t/h CFB boiler (ALSTHOM design) for a paper mill in Thailand. Within ALSTOM, I moved to the industrial section for industrial sized power stations with sales responsibility for Germany and North- and South America. Projects have been on a turnkey (EPC) basis, for various technologies, mainly Fluidized Bed and HRSG boiler technology and Gas Turbines, for fuels like coal, biomass, solid process residues, gas, oil and GT-Processes. The order award for the Sandreuth power plant / Nuremberg incl. 2 GTX 100 gasturbines, 2 HRSG’s and the service to convert an existing coal fired boiler into a biomass fired unit, was the biggest achievement.

April 2006 I returned to Baumgarte as Sales Director for Waste to Energy and oil/gas fired units. Since new Customers mostly do not employ own expertise in EfW main task was to advise in concept but also technically and commercially. Projects have been then structured in order to allow bank financing.

Excellent negotiation skills and focus on target helped to finalize, sign off and initiate contracts. All technical,  commercial and leagal aspects of such contracts have been overseen, from sales phase, during execution up to commercial operation.

The final position, for more than 7 years as Managing Director was also including the position of Sales director. I become face and voice of the company. Under my responsibility, the company has been turned from component supplier into EPC provider. Own competence in grate combustion technology as well as new technologies have been developed. Manifold order awards proves our success. Total turnover in WtE projects within that time was about 500 MioEuro. Projects in  Belgium, Germany, Finland, South Korea, Trinidad Tobego and UK  have bee successful executed.
